My name is Ashleigh Wilson. I am a recent graduate with a Master’s in Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology from Valdosta State University with experience in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) and People Analytics.

I built this website as a way to track and share my academic experiences, career interests, and professional development. My website will continue to evolve and grow overtime as I gain new skills and knowledge, and as I progress through my career.

My Interests

With a strong passion for utilizing people analytics to inform DEIB, I have gained valuable experience in this area through various internships, work, and projects. My own life experiences, as well as viewing the experiences of others, have contributed to my desire to create more inclusive, engaging, and satisfying workplace environments for personnel. an image showing hands touching from various ethnicities I have had the opportunity to work alongside Consultants and IO researchers and help plan and develop DEI initiatives, utilizing people analytics to drive business results. In working to build these inclusive workplace environments, I hope to make a positive impact on the people and culture within organizations.

My Hobbies

I love traveling (in and out of the country) to new and exciting places. I enjoy kicking back and relaxing to a nice Fantasy/Sci-Fi novel. I also do a lot of computer programming in my free time. My programming projects include:

  • Java (building android apps and databases)
  • Python (web-scraping, data wrangling and writing random automation scripts. Also coded my undergraduate psychology experiment using the Psychopy software)
  • R (Data analyses, such as correlation, linear/logistic regression, hypotheses testing, factor analysis, and SEM, to name a few. I also use R for text analysis, Organizational/Social Network Analysis, and data visualizations)
  • HTML/CSS (coded this website )

Speaking of Computer Programming…

Python and R are incredibly useful skills to have as an Industrial-Organizational Professional. I utilize my programming skills in various ways, such as performing data analyses and statistical procedures to draw valuable insights. a grayscale image of a laptop with code on the screen I continue to develop my programming skills to become a more proficient researcher and data analyst. These skills could prove valuable in my career and aid me on my journey towards creating a progressive, inclusive, and sustainable workplace.
